“Ukiyo” In modern usage, the term “ukiyo” refers to a state of mind with a focus on living in the present moment while detaching from the difficulties of life. The original meaning is “floating world” or transient world”. I chose to incorporate the work into floating wheat straws.

My letterpress creations are printed using hand set metal type, borders and ornaments. With each item being printed by hand, slight variations sometimes occur making each piece unique. These subtile variations are what makes letterpress and handmade items beautiful & special. Colours and impressions might vary from print to print.
